South Carolina governor says Ford, GM, Chrysler union jobs not welcome in state
South Carolina is glad to have nonunion jobs from BMW, Michelin and Boeing, but dont expect any factories from Ford, General Motors, Chrysler or other companies with unionized workforces.
According to Gov. Nikki Haley, theyre not welcome.
Haley said Wednesday that she discourages companies from building new facilities in South Carolina if they are planning to bring a union with them.
Its not something we want to see happen, she told the Greenville News following an appearance at an automotive conference in downtown Greenville.
We discourage any companies that have unions from wanting to come to South Carolina because we dont want to taint the water.

Your republican governor buddy are tainting the water just fine on their own.

and gawd forbid a company try to come to town to give them a job, they don't want that because the millionaire on the tv machine told them that the union are teachers and thugs who want more than minimum wage.
I've no more sympathy or pity for the gleefully, willfully stupid.

(67,111 posts)ignorance and stupidity. They are losers and wastes. A lawyer friend told me that years ago, and I thought that was cruel, but today, I see the point he was making.
It's one thing to help people, and they are receptive and you jointly work together to make their lives better, but when they want to blindly persist in making and perpetuating their own shit hole, eventually, you have to stop being concerned, because they are energy sinks on mankind. That said, they are dangerous, because they vote, they never know the real issues and are fodder for manipulation.

(266 posts)NOT acquire even the slightest parcel of prosperity while she is at the helm. If any of you 'wretched hirelings' within the grand state of South Carolina care one whit about your cheap and thank-less job, don't ya dare 'taint the water'.
I believe Ford, GM, and Chrysler along with the UAW just got gut-punched regarding their fine American product, engineered by fine American craftsman and assembled by the best American workman. If I were Ford, GM, or Chrysler I might think twice about unloading a new car within 200 miles of South Carolina....
But hey, who says the vastly experienced Union toiler wants to be dragged down to the level of the average slobbering worker of South Carolina anyway? It is these venison-gnashing peasants who actually support their asparagus-spined governor apparently from the impulse that it is easier to tear others down than to lift yourselves up.....STAND UP SOUTH CAROLINA

(86 posts)Let us examine this a little closer. Since the rise of unionization in this country brought about the middle class, and it can be demonstrated that their paths are intertwined, Governor Haley is revealing that she is against having a middle class. She is advocating that South Carolina be divided sharply between a starving, compliant poor majority, and wealthy ruling minority. This seems to be a goal that South Carolina is already well on the way to achieving. Perhaps the governor is trying to establish a little India in the south.
