(28,498 posts)-Three of the Cs--lying, stealing, murdering--were punishable crimes long before Greece and Rome
-Three more of the Cs comprise a "wish list"--respect elders; don't lust after women and things. If these were punishable, just about every teen and advertising CEO would be in prison
-The remaining four are guidelines for worshiping another person's God
Just don't see the need for all this hue and cry about posting the 10-Cs in public places...

This is great:
- Rep. Bridges didn't include John 3:16 in the amendment because not everybody believes in Jesus Christ. Rep. Bridges, opposing an amendment from Rep. Bandy to add John 3:16 to the bill.
