Gen. Mark A. Milley's briefing was extremely forthright (VIDEO).

I hate to be saying this but how often do you hear of a town sheriff waffling on a tragedy in their town? This guy, Milley, he just answered straight up. If the MSM threw him a BS question, he deflected it with pure grace. It was amazing.

I wish more tragedies or even more interviews of statesmen (I'm talking to you Carney) were handled this way. Straight, to the point, yes, no, this is what I know. Heck, I'm going to watch this again just because of how classy he handled it. I know it's a few hours old and my heart goes out to the families who no doubt have been notified since this video was posted, but still. He really did a stand up job, protecting the families, protecting the victims, protecting even the actor and those who acted against him. Amazing presser.

obvious he earned his position. As I was watching him I was thinking about how intimidating it must be to find yourself on the wrong side of this guy.

But he certainly earns my respect. He doesn't waffle on answers, if he can't answer, he doesn't. If he can, he does. It's really remarkable.

What does that have to do with this thread?
Trying to hijack it?

Is praising the General's performance at the podium the limit you wish to impose on comments?

And is there a source you can share which reports survey results for military commanders regarding guns on base?

that the majority of base commanders don't endorse the carrying of concealed weapons on base.
Off base? That's a different story.
