Rush Limbaugh discovers CBS' "war on the heartland"...45 years later

Media Matters just reported that Rush's response to CBS hiring Stephen Colbert to be Late Show host effective 2015: "CBS has just declared war on the Heartland of America."

If you were watching TV back in the late 60s/early 70s you probably saw the "rural purge", summarized best by one of the stars of Green Acres: "...CBS cancelled everything with a tree—including Lassie." Basically a bunch of rural themed shows like Petticoat Junction, Beverly Hillbillies, and Bonanza with more relevant, hip shows set in major cities like Mary Tyler Moore and All in the Family.

I know that Rush Limbaugh listeners aren't the brightest out there. But c'mon, anyone over 50 oughta know a thing or two about the real "war on the heartland" by CBS not this phony one in Rush's brain (which is probably messed up from all those pills).

They are all over the airwaves, and seem to be multiplying daily.

And without those meddling UNIONS! These redneck shows have become ways for the Discovery Channel, History Channel, A&E, etc. to make a quick buck despite violating their original purposes.
