but voting rights, women's rights, health care, marijuana, gay rights, and gun laws. All of these issues should've been settled long ago, as other first-world nations have seemed to get past them.

Sweden has a raw gender pay gap that's larger than the US.

The US compares pretty much the same as all other first world countries. Equal pay is by far more of a function of whether you have children or not compared to all other factors. Young, unmarried, childless women make more than men.

some republicans brought up the subject of taking the vote away from women!!! They've been talking about taking away birth control for years. They have been outraged at the idea of sexual harassment and rape laws. This is nothing new.
