These are the things that don't go into an easy political equations.
I don't think she will run and this could give her a reason to sit this campaign out.

Why should it be different for Hillary?

(24,096 posts)I sure don't want Hillary to run or win but that reason is pathetic to the max.

(20,176 posts)1.) I'm glad he asked the question because I thought it and hadn't asked it because was going to be a shitstorm.
2.) I said earlier this year, not on DU but elsewhere, that I believed that this was an issue. There's been a strange vibe from Bill and Chelsea that they can't say it but they seem to prefer her not to run even as they attempt to be supportive. I wondered if it was because Chelsea was thinking and looking to start a family and doesn't want her pregnancy/newborn turned into a media circus by Hillary's candidacy. Actually, I speculated that she was, as much as any of us can be by our immediate families, more-or-less demanded-of that she not run if this situation came to pass.
So now we'll see...but I suspect this is the end of Hillary 2016. At least without family strife...Bill seems way readier to hang-up the spurs, walk away from the political and social limelight, and be grandpa/retired.

Maybe Bubba ought to bow out of all his commitments because he's going to be a grandfather. That's pretty sexist.

But what an insult to Hillary and women in general to imply that being a grandma means you will automatically stay home knitting and babysitting. Hillary never rolled that way and never will.
