(snip)
LifeNews didn't seem to understand Thursday how a woman who supports a person's decision to not have children could be excited about her pregnancy:
Abortion supporter Chelsea Clinton announced today that shes pregnant not with a fetus or clump of cells but with a child.
This is the same Chelsea Clinton who lamented last year that her grandmother didnt have access to Planned Parenthood.

(11,785 posts)It's much easier to whip up hatred against "baby killers" than it is against "women who believe they should be able to choose when and whether to have a baby".

I love how the idiots on the right try to portray it as anything less than a woman controlling her own body in whatever way SHE chooses

(9,462 posts)picketers who were rallying against our local abortion provider. Her sign said "My Body, My Choice". She didn't make the best picketer though, because she had to go for a bathroom break about every 20 mins. During that time a friend of ours, a man named Steve, would hold her sign until she got back. The reporters from the local paper came out to do a story on the protesters, and the people protesting the protesters (us). You can imagine our collective surprise when we saw the photo on the front page of the paper. It was Steve holding my friends sign that read "My Body, My Choice". Even worse, Steve was a local second-grade teacher. (at least he wasn't a biology teacher).

(32,723 posts)Either you are a 1 or a 0. Then they take it from there. They figure since they are against "the murder of babies" we must be FOR "the murder of babies" which makes us outright EVIL.
So remember when you get into it with one of these people.
The LEADERS are doing this as a strategy. They KNOW their followers are sheep and they KNOW how to fine tune their outrage to 11.

(41,209 posts)Forced abortion or even forced childlessness is as anti-choice as forced birth. So it's not 'pro-choice = anti-birth".
Some people seem unable to understand the whole concept of people, especially women, having choices.
Plus the fact that the Right seem to have a particular phobia of anyone with the name of Clinton.
