This Easter, if you gather with an extended family,

please share any positive stories you have of your experience with ACA. If you were able to obtain insurance or you're now paying less for your insurance, just tell those people around you about it. If you know someone who has benefited, tell people about that.

If you're on Medicare, like I am, you can talk about how that system provides excellent health care, primarily on a single-payer basis. Let people know that healthcare doesn't have to be a high-profit, exclusive thing. Remind them of the 8 million people who are now covered under ACA. If someone wants to argue, just say, "Well, I don't know about that, but it sure has benefited me and my family."

Thanks.

Never even thought too. We just enjoyed ourselves. I guess we all just celebrate being together and enjoying a good meal.

But, they were glad to hear that my wife's health insurance premium was cut in half. We didn't discuss the President at all.

Good news is good news.

It was a suggestion or a polite request. I have no power to compel anyone to do anything. I can only make suggestions. I even said "please."

I'm not sure what the reason was for your objection, really.

I know you are all about "get out the vote!", but I don't think people should have to spread propaganda or political messages to their family. Let's just say I found it an annoying OP.

While I'm sorry my suggestion rubbed you the wrong way, I will make suggestions on DU when I want to do that. You can simply ignore my posts if they bother you for any reason.

I do that all the time...ignore posts, I mean.

it's not a political issue at all. It's just good news that everyone should be happy to hear.
