22. This is an apt portrayal of where we are in this country....

and it is getting more and more dangerous by the minute.

People who peacefully protest in order to raise awareness of important "human" issues such as poverty, joblessness, homelessness, the raping of the country by the 1%, etc. are treated like common criminals.

People who violently threaten law enforcement who are acting with the color of the law against "takers" who want more and more and don't want to pay for any of it are treated like it was a little squabble on the playground.

We are seriously challenged and I don't see anything getting any better. Those with everything continue to take more and more. Those with little or next to nothing continue to lose more and more.

There will come a time, perhaps not in my lifetime, when the 99% will come for the 1%. The result will be another civil war. The outcome will depend on if the U.S. military, mostly those who had few other real options in life, turn and side with the people or if we will have largely outsourced the military to mercenaries who are beholden to the 1%.

It isn't a prospect I wish on my nephews and their families but I fear this is where we are headed.
