MD Gubernatorial Candidate Says Serving In Iraq Is Not A “Real Job”

http://americanmilitarynews.com/2014/04/md-gubernatorial-candidate-says-iraq-war-vet-real-job/

Maryland Attorney General and MD gubernatorial candidate Douglas Gansler is drawing fire from veteran’s group after suggesting that his opponent, an Iraq War veteran, is not up to the task of doing a “real job.” Despite the criticism, the Md gubernatorial candidate is standing by his comment. When asked how he would have dealt with the Obamacare roll out in Maryland’s exchange, Gansler said, “I’m running against somebody who has never managed anybody, never run anything, his ads are about how he’s a lawyer in Iraq, and that’s all fine and good but this is a real job.” Many Iraq War Vets and groups have spoken out against the outrageous comment.

And it's guy is a Dem?

only qualification was that he was an Iraq vet but otherwise was an asshole. I didn't dare diss his service publicly, but it really had nothing whatsoever to do with the office we were running for.

Unfortunately, he won.
