The driver of a sedan not thought by police to be at fault in a collision Sunday night in Omaha was beaten as a large crowd gathered at the scene.

The man, Eric O. Sandoval, 22, of Omaha had stopped after the accident about 8 p.m. at 42nd and Miami Streets, after a motorcycle that police said was speeding struck his car.

The motorcyclist, Daryll J. Woods Jr., 26, Omaha, locked up his brakes and fell from the motorcycle, a Suzuki GSX 600. It slid into the rear passenger tire of the Pontiac Bonneville that Sandoval was driving south on 42nd Street, police said.

The collision occurred as Sandoval accelerated after stopping at a stop sign, police said. The Suzuki was eastbound.

Sounds like a hothead on a bike can't accept that he screwed up. People need to learn to own their own mistakes.
