Say Your Prayers. Promoting Religion In The Public Sector Now Legal.

The mostly Christian court has made an outrageous decision that will allow religion aka Christianity to be promoted in public places for all practical purposes. Christian prayers before public meetings is just the first step in creating an eventual theocracy in the US. What is amazing is how the Supreme Court was so easily stacked over the years.

This decision brings into question other possible cases that will eventually come up to the very radical court. Will prayer in schools eventually become the norm in the future.

We are on a dangerous path when our laws start reflecting a religious ideology. Eventaully reproductive rights could possibly come into question and in control of Biblical and religious dogmas.

This present decision is shot across the bow for secular governing. Somehow theocracy seems to be creeping up on non believers. Religious extremism in the US is more of a threat than the terrorists.

I think the only way to fight this is to recruit Muslims, Hindus, and other non-Christian religions to volunteer to offer the prayers at their local government meetings. Once the officials realize they can't prevent them from participating we might see the sudden elimination of these prayers.

But even Jesus said on the Sermon on the Mount: Do not pray in public. What part of that do modern evangelicals who believe the Bible literally, word for word, answer that? He said, Don't be like the hypocrites. Yet they are.

to start meetings by exhorting a deity? Do they think it will improve their zoning decisions? Frankly, I'm always concerned when people lack the confidence to make decisions unless they believe they are being aided or 'guided' by some unseen entity, but if it only impacts their personal lives, then it's none of my business.

That changes the moment that they don the guise of elected official and contend that they are representing me. At that point, they need to keep their spiritual beliefs to themselves. Prayer opening any sort of public government meeting is not okay.

the various christion cults will begin fighting for supremacy.
Will the accepted national religion be protestant or baptist?
Russian orthodox catholic or roman catholic?

I sure hope that these religious folk pursue the perceived teachings of their god and get this sorted out before open carry becomes the every day norm.
