Clay Aiken's Democratic primary opponent drops dead.

Singer and reality show star Clay Aiken, who appeared to have won the Democratic primary for U.S. Congress in his native North Carolina by slimmest of margins last week, will likely avoid a lengthy recount due to the sudden death of his closest challenger.
