If what the article says is true, their figures are behind. The sources of the graphic are what I put in the subject line.
That's very strange. Someone's behind a bit.
Here's the source from today for the graphic....and it was posted at Twitter by a retired Army officer...thus I assumed the graphic was correct. Plus the figure for the civil war which I remember from school was about half a million.

(19,964 posts)If only in a very personal, private way. Each year I set up a memorial to my father, a Navy vet of both WWII and Korea. He was very modest about his service and I miss him.
A salute to all you Navy vets out there, on behalf on my Dad.
