Get with the program, hunh? Not only does this "exceptionalism" cost US taxpayers billions and US companies billions, but it's a drag on the rest of the world going all the way to finally complete metrication.

(4,253 posts)I have adjusted... I think in metric for temperature, gas and distance. I still weigh myself in po unds and my height is in inches. but other wise when buying groceries I think in metric. 2.2 = 1Kg.
Usually the mileage on highways is 100 km which is 60 mph. I think it takes 1 hour to go 100km. easy to figure out. In Canada we tend to think of traveling in time... 6 hours drive to go to.....600km
Kids now are used to it. Join the world USA... go metric

The rest of the world uses Resident Based Taxation. This allows a freedom of movement..
Americans are walled in with CBT... like the old USSR.
