(60,536 posts)one poll could have been taken moments after Snowden's interview, the other taken the next morning after people had a chance to sleep on the information revealed. Yes, that's hyperbole, but still an accurate description of a distinct possibility.
Don't worry about the language you used but you are excused.

(3,639 posts)Snowden is right or wrong, all I am saying is that a poll is not a good measure if something is right or not.
The majority of Americans at the time supported the Viet Nam war for example.
We need much more information and need to understand the motivations behind his actions. In other words, was it simply to expose the NSA, was it to embarrass the first African American President, since these activities had been going on under the bush administration, or was it something else.

(45,251 posts)And what most Americans know about this, if anything, comes from the MSM.
Besides, throw a few key words into the questions that are asked and you are almost 100% guaranteed to get certain answers from a majority of those polled. Who commissioned the poll and why also often affects poll results. (Duh)
I don't know why informed people treat polls as some kind of gospel.
For the record, I said the same thing about polls in 2012, when polls were showing that every single Republican who was seeking the nomination would beat Obama in November. Who is likely to get the vote of Americans is something that Americans polls should be good at assessing, too.

(22,165 posts)"Our" Serenity (a pit and god knows what mix) just turned a year old and is ~65 pounds , as well (hoping she is done growing as she spends much of her time on my almost 80 year old mom's lap). She looks a lot like Orchid (only brindle).
