William and Nancy Sibert celebrated their 59th wedding anniversary Tuesday with a trip they would rather not have taken.
The Omahans were forced to evacuate their home at 4512 N. 17th St. because of rising waters as they were buffeted by high winds, hail and torrential rain.
William Sibert, 75, said the rain gauge in his backyard held more than 4 inches of water this morning.
Instead of (leftover) cake and ice cream, weve got mud and leaves, he said.
