from Buzzfeed:
The progressive senator has raised $2.3 million for Democratic senate candidates and is showing up in states where youd least expect her.
____ Elizabeth Warren, the Massachusetts senator and unabashed populist, has been aggressively campaigning and fundraising for Democrats across the country and welcomed with open arms in states where its surprising to see her, like Kentucky.
On Sunday, she rallied a friendly crowd in Louisville for the states Democratic nominee, Alison Lundergan Grimes. Next, shell head to West Virginia to stump for Natalie Tennant. Shes already been to Oregon, Minnesota, and Washington State, and more stops are likely to be announced soon. Its not just her message that Warrens spreading: According to Warrens political team, she has raised and given $2.3 million through her PAC, fundraising events, and email solicitations to 28 senate Democratic nominees including vulnerable red-staters like Mary Landrieu of Louisiana and Mark Pryor of Arkansas. Warrens appeal for Democrats wanting to rally their base is clear: She produces enormous, almost celebrity-like, enthusiasm from supporters.
Democrats are the same page on whats happening to America economically. Thats what were all out there talking about, Warren told BuzzFeed in an interview. I dont agree with every Democratic candidate on every issue. But on the core economic issues, the fact the playing field is tilted, on the need to fight for working families, we are all in the same place and thats why Im out here.

(31,849 posts)Democrats ARE all on the same page ... some are just at the top, or middle, or bottom of the page.

(30,058 posts)House and Senate Democrats will be unable to push their agenda. We as Democrats need to wake up and push for more Democrats to be elected, stop this ranting and raving about possible presidential candidates in 2016. It will not matter unless we hold both sides of Congress. We need a Democrat president for several more years to change SC so we do not have bad decisions coming out of the SC.

(13,305 posts)..have the guts to nominate a liberal to replace any of the hardline conservative justices should they pass away or retire.
Unfortunately what history and my gut tells me is that there will be cries to not "insult the legacy/memory/whatever" of any of those judges by appointing someone not of their way of thinking to take their place on the bench, or whatever other beltway insider bullshit will be thrown out there.
And unfortunately as we've seen far too often, Obama cares more about what the DC media and the beltway cocktail party circuit has to say than anything else. He can rarely resist the urge to be "bipartisan" and "centrist" about things.

(13,305 posts)So while there was an obviously the usual harumphing, the stakes weren't high.
When the stakes are high, the Republicans move into action and go on the offensive. Unfortunately when the stakes are high and there is pushback, Democrats get scared and cave.

(30,058 posts)It would be really easy, next the Senate has to vote for the nominee, this is where he knows there will be a problem. This is another good reason to stack the Senate with Democrats no matter which party is in the presidency.

(13,305 posts)We'll see just how on the same page conservadems like Landrieu and Pryor are when it comes time to actually doing something. Like Dean before her, Warren seems to be using her liberal bona fides and celebrity to get Dems elected and for what seems to be the good of the party. And I'm sure like Dean before her, she'll be kicked to the curb when it comes time to govern and put things into action.
