a Democracy is exactly what they think they can/should do ... rather than living in a Democracy.

I think the thing which bugs me the most (and Shrub also had this in spades) is the smug attitude of self-worthiness. The "I'm so great I deserve to be in this position of power where I can play dice with the world" as if they are "noble peers of the realm" ... yeah, my ancestors fought a f**king war against that attitude. Somehow, not matter how clueless the Clintons are about their money, I've never gotten that "the rest of you are lesser beings" feeling I get from the really high ranking Republicans.
