Is It Time For A Million Women March On D.C.?.....

Is it time for a million immigrant march on D.C.?

Is it time for a million student march on D.C.?

Is it time for a million senior march on D.C.?

Is it time for a million disenfranchised voter march on D.C.?

Is it time for a million union member march on D.C.?

Is it time to re-start a protest movement and march on the Nation's Capitol and make the Repub held House and the filibuster Repubs in the Senate pay? Is it time to get them to do their jobs? What did we elect them for? Doing nothing and just campaigning for their next election?

If they don't hear us speaking up in numbers - they are just going to continue to ignore the voters of this country.

We need to get them worried that they will lose their jobs - just like we've lost ours.

with similar interests. Friendships and coalitions form. It gets individuals out of their homes where they might despair. Together, they are more likely to act and vote and socialize and rejoice.

Protests mobilize. Their benefits are immeasurable personally, socially & politically.

Millions of immigrants marching did not go unnoticed. What changed? They and their kids haven't all been kicked out of the USA.

I now view a candidate's stance on immigration reform before voting, and support those with the most tolerant & progressive policy. Millions more do the same.

Or they would focus on the counter-protestors

My opinion is, the only way to get noticed is for Women to stand up and vote in shocking number. Elect Wendy Davis and others who stand for rights. Toss out the t-baggers and anti-choicers in every race they can. That would get noticed. Millions marched in 2003 against Iraq war, and yet nothing really happened because in 2004 W was re-elected along with his buddies in congress.

I side with women on reproductive rights, equal pay for equal work, protection from spousal abuse, freedom from religious discrimination, and every other issue where Republicans are trying to deprive women of their natural-born rights and their hard-earned rights.

would likely hold a greater remedy.....Volunteer money and time helping those whose voting rights are compromised get registered.
We cannot allow the House to stay in GOP control and we sure as hell can't Risk letting them (GOP) gain the majority in the Senate.
If Dems get the House back? We also just might have a chance to Impeach a couple Justices, but also overturn/correct the damages they have imposed upon our democracy, like Cit United parts I and II and so many etcs

and the solidarity that comes with it, I'm in.

As was said up post, getting together with like minded people, forming coalitions, and in general finding others also share your opinion, is valuable.

I still have my pink T-shirt.

And the bastards still held their seats in Congress. And Bush still got re-elected. And Bush still put John Roberts in as Chief Justice and Samuel Alito as Associate Justice.

And here we are today.
