I'm guessing she either didn't have one, or ignored his/her advice.

That interview was a huge mistake on her part. The very small ounce of sympathy I had prior to this video (based on not fully understanding what had happened) has now completely evaporated.

I seriously doubt the dogs owners knew of the actual circumstances in which they were leaving their pets, or they wouldn't done it. Seriously, who would pay for that kind of "care" (?)...

I'd be furious if it were my dog.

and her attempts to play victim when 20 dogs DIED in the "care" her company was supposed to provide made me sick to my stomach.

It was odd the way she alternated between being hostile and combative, to smug and self-righteous, and finally weirdly pathetic-acting at the end. Wtf?

I feel sorry for the dog owners, though. I'm sure that they were probably misled. They had to have been. No one would knowingly leave their beloved pets in such a situation.

grocery stores have them for the freezers, or at least check the kennels every couple of hours

Checking every couple hours is probably not enough for an Arizona outside shed full of dogs and just a window unit. Even a closed room inside a home in that state can get deadly hot. Negligence is what happened to those poor dogs.

You can see from the press picture dogs were chewing/tearing through the drywall and biting the wall molding. Then the wire was chewed. The dogs could have been hot already crammed in that room & animals start to panic, get frantic as they overheat.

A temperature alarm is a good idea for anyone who houses animals or even has a remote chance they would 'forget' their child or pet in a car.

There are a million of them on google search results
