Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free.
I hope so. Just watching Maddow and I really enjoy what she is reporting about the people in Texas and elsewhere who are coming together to share compassion and support to these children who have escaped a tragic place in the world.
I've been heartened by the positive responses to this crisis...
These little kids might just have a chance.

Without money & fake religion proposing a human divide, people will do the right thing for each other.
Ignore the hate & move forward.

(2,345 posts)2. Yeah...
I don't comment much, and sometimes scroll down to read comments on news stories...
But the stories about Clay Jenkins and many others getting together to help are good to hear. I was grateful to hear about all the people from many different states who were willing to open their homes to these children.
There are some pretty kickass, generous people in America.

(9,148 posts)3. Yes there are & all it took was Mr Jenkins giving permission
Permission to be kind was granted by one of their own. I too was impressed by Jenkins' call for some semblance of unity in this sad & serious humanitarian matter.
Hope & Change? Guess today was a decent start in the only acceptable direction
