(36,988 posts)viewing this or walking by in the thousands of places fox news TV is shown at businesses would assume that this was an Israeli place that was hit.

(3,864 posts)no Hamas rocket has caused anything like this, nor would it,
whereas Israeli rockets routinely destroy homes.
I don't think these are 'mistakes'. I think they are testing to see if the majority of Americans who watch abs or fox news are stupid enough to believe them.

David Muir, on the other hand, I feel comfortable with, although I can't help imagining him in underwear dancing to disco music because he's so sexy. I respect you for your brains, David, but I can't help the underwear dancing to disco in my brains.

(614 posts)i mean, the comparison is apt for this very narrow, specific event, but - in broader terms - would you not have to say it's the other way 'round? that diane sawyer pulled a fox news when she misidentified the palestinian destruction as israeli? given how many times fox has misidentified republican scandaleers as democrats, as just one example, and misidentifying those polls with ridiculously skewed and even erroneous numbers? etcetcetc, ad infinitum, ad nauseam.........
this is the fox way; no love lost for diane sawyer here, but let's call a spade a spade. this is the way fox news does things, and they have set the tone and the pace.

(12,166 posts)College broadcasting students would not make such a fundamental mistake. If it's ineptitude it's awfully convenient -- like putting " D)" after the name of any Republican caught doing something egregiously offensive and/or illegal.
I don't think ABC has sunk so low as to label Republican miscreants as Democrats YET, but labeling an Israeli war crime as a Palestinian war crime is disgusting.
and my favorite...
