Helpless and hopeless

Now I remember why I tuned out again. Only so much pain and suffering a person can witness before it starts crushing his soul as well. Carry on but the world is too much for me. The filter is going back on and the blinders back up. You may argue that's no way to live. I'll argue that it's the only way to survive.

if you choose to believe humans are actually thinking creatures, elevated from the birds and beasts of the wilds, your sense of well being can be deeply scared witnessing what is unfolding in the world in the name of american imperial superiority, or any foolhardy attempt to maintain that moniker in the face of dramatically failed economic policy(math is hard for monkeys).

based on my short lived and misguided attempts to analyze human behavior, ESPECIALLY IN GROUPS, I have come to the conclusion that humans do not think. we believe that we are cognitive, but we are not. nearsighted group-think is what we do most frequently and justify it as being "pragmatic" or "practical".

to the future, to life, to the good who went before.
It's tempting to say fukkit and go along by ignoring the news, living off the grid etc but...the future depends upon a minority of humankind (the anti fascist truth seekers life affirmers etc) to fight mr pig and his efforts to postpone the wakeup of the herd....which is going to happen, someday, maybe. Humanity is probably doomed, but overcoming our collective evilness might also show the way- I see whales and elephants etc having full CITIZENSHIP someday, and our tough young guys hunting down those who DARE TO hurt the landwaterair etc! Maybe we'll colonise other planets, moons...but regardless, 1000 years from now at least 20 percent of global budget, amounting to $trillions/year, will still be devoted to putting the earth back to where it was before the nazipoohs got going about year1945...

Been there many times in my life. Try to connect with others who share your beliefs and pain. There are not too many truly caring and empathetic human beings, but there are a few.
