Collective Punishment & Butchering Babies is Self-Defense?

Israeli “self defense” is NOT what is going on, even though there is relentless 24/7 US mainstream media propaganda to camouflage the ruthless unleashing of the Israeli/US-paid-for mass killing war machine.

In "Eyeless in Gaza" Jonathan Cook calls out Netanyahu’s protests of waging a “necessary” war of self-defense against rockets and tunnels. He writes:

The logic is deeply flawed. Israel is occupying and besieging Gaza, conferring on its inhabitants a right under international law to fight for their freedom. How does the oppressor, the lawbreaker have a right to self-defence? If Israel objects to being scratched and bruised, it should stop choking its victim.

Cook contends that what the Netanyahu regime is up to is the serious opposite of self-defense.

It seems Netanyahu wanted to end a strategic threat: not Hamas rockets or tunnels, but the establishment of a unity government between Hamas and its long-time rivals Fatah. Palestinian unity risked reviving pressure on him to negotiate, or face a renewed and more credible Palestinian campaign for statehood at the United Nations.

1. why is this so hard for israeli apologists to understand?????

This is what Israeli apologists refuse to understand.

It is Israel that is breaking international law by laying siege and have a bloackade on the Gaza strip AND it is Palestinians who have the right under international law to resist.

Israel and its apologists want a situation where Israel is allowed to break international law and the Palestinians have to give up their right under international law to resist by laying down and getting rid of their self-defence weapons.

In which universe can someone argue that they are in the right when they are breaking the law and the other party is in the wrong when the exercise their rights granted to them in international law?

Imagine if I took over most of my neighbours house and forced him and his family into a single room in the house, imagine if I then restricted my neighbour and his family from ever bringing in or taking out anything from that single room, and when my neighbour decided to fight for his freedom I then smashed up this single room and hurt his family members in the process.
Now imagine if the law states that my actions are illegal BUT I insist that my neighbour and his family must give up their right to fight against my illegal actions before I possibly agree to allow them freedom?

What you just described is a text book example cited by Stand your Ground Supporters.
Is Hamas Standing their Ground?
Israel sure is not holding back.

4. Israel is eqvuivalent to a bully in school stealing your lunch money and expecting no fight back

Its goes even beyond stand your ground scenario.

This scenario is the same as a bully in school taking your lunch money everyday and then when you decide to stand up for yourself and fight back, the bully using this as an excuse to bash you up and punish you and your friends even more.

Israel is continually stealing Palestinian land for settlements, Israel is attempting to keep the Palestinians locked up in an open air prison, and when certain Palestinians stand up for themselves and fight back, Israel uses this as an excuse to punish all Palestinians and steal more of their land and resources.

Israel is the bully stealing your lunch and the school principal and administrators side with the bully and threaten you with expulsion if you dare fight back.

It is even worse. They are not welcomed or wanted in Jordan, SA, Lebenon, or other various countries. Even in a temp status as refugees.

7. Israel would be a lot more willing to end this incursion (lets not call it a war)

with a peace treaty if the U.S. wasn't standing by to resupply the munitions and equipment used in this latest incursion. As long as the U.S. only talks compassion and anguish about what is going on while sharing raw intelligence and resupply with the IDF, Israel has no reason to give up on "Greater Israel."
