Wounded Warrior Charity?

Saw ads asking for donations with a country-star big hat guy as their spokesman. Heartbreaking pictures of disabled/wounded vets;but, wasn't this the pet charity of Sean Hannity, Mark Levin and Glenn Beck a few years back? Have they shaken off the odious connection to the right-wingers and are rebranding themselves now?

didn't they buy off a charity rating and if you go a few pages deep you'll find their true rating? MattP Aug 2014 #1

Only 58 cents of every $1 goes to the program. The rest spent (or wasted) fundraising and on administration.
And their CEO gets $311,538 a year.

I am not sure about buying off the rating. It has a decent one.
But it does not do anything new or different. They are more like a clearing house where they give money they receive to other Wounded Veterans Causes. They do have a some high top dog salaries.
Biggest Caveat: It was started by Bush VA appointees just after GWOT started. So they left the VA where they could really help Wounded Vets and started this Charity.
