I could be wrong, but if he wanted to take off, he would be gone already.
Most judges take into consideration the seriousness of the crime but also the flight risk.

100k maybe 250k, no more than that.

From out of state. I think that surrendered is the term for being in custody and not resisting.

That was on one of the videos posted yesterday afternoon. And another thread had a screen shot of the typed booking sheet, which said 'Will not be bailed.'

He's already been charged. What happens between now and his trial is up to speculation here, but this is also what states call a high-profile case. Nothing will be done that doesn't meet all requirements. The SP spoke of the trial... I believe there's going to be one.

He could not have been charged without probable cause, meaning that neither SYG, nor racism, nor corruption didn't help him get out of this as it sure as hell seemed it would, and made me furious.

Naturally, in all I say, I am speculating too, but I think there won't be a backroom deal cut there. I think he is going to go to trial, and he may or may not be able to convince a jury. I don't know if FL allows filming of trials such as CA did with OJ. I don't know if that would be a good or bad thing with this one here. But it might be in the interest of public order to assure the public that this is not going to swept under the rug.

The mug shot of him disturbed me. Maybe he still believes his family is going to get him out of this. I hope he does a good piece of time, not having all the gruesome things that some may wish happen to him; but that he will not be coddled; but he learns that he has crossed the line repeatedly in his life. That he is out of control and does not deserve any status as hero. It should make an imprint on his consciousness and he never again behaves as he did.

Other than that, the wishes of millions, including myself, have now been granted and he is in custody, just like anyone else. To me that is a victory. Now we will hear all of it.

No bail means amounts are irrelevant.

They did say he most likely will not see a "live" judge (closed-circuit TV, or something similar).

MSNBC did interview the new attorney, who made several references to "IF this goes to trial..."

Smart money is a guilty plea at a lesser charge, no trial. Who knows.

It's happened before in other cases and some "experts" are saying it could happen in the Zimmerman case.
