According to the police report, about a week later the boy's mother said Peterson apologized for what happened to their son. She told police Peterson said he didn't make the switch smooth enough and the ridges were what caused the marks.
The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office said a warrant was issued Friday for Peterson's arrest. He is not yet in custody.
Local 2 Investigates has learned the case was taken to one grand jury and the panel decided to taken no action. The prosecutor recently took the case to a second grand jury which handed down the indictment.

This should have been a no brainer.

he was raised and he sees nothing wrong with it.
Really--he said that out loud, in front of God and everybody!

(12,778 posts)3. That's how I was raised too, but I know damned well that it's wrong.
My parents are great people who did what they thought was right back then, but they were told in no uncertain terms a long time ago that we didn't spank our kids and nobody else would either.
