The Very Serious Rand Paul
Senator Rand Paul of Kentucky is a very serious person.
Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) said on Thursday that if he became president he would repeal all previous executive orders.
Isnt that a great idea?
Hmm. Maybe its not such a great idea.
Senator Pauls statement was meant to emphasize this presidents overt and unconstitutional executive orders, it was not meant to be taken literally, Paul spokesman Sergio Gor wrote in an email.
Alrighty then. Never mind.

(10,718 posts)Some are pretty important, but most of them are just dull policy and administrative things. Either Paul doesn't have much of an idea about what executive orders are, or - more likely - he's well aware that his audience doesn't really know what executive orders are, and he's just rambling on (yet again) saying whatever his audience wants to hear.

(16,926 posts)LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - With the first-in-the-nation Iowa presidential caucuses less than 16 months away, the latest CNN poll finds Kentucky's Rand Paul in a distant third place among the possible GOP field.
Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee has the lead at 21 percent. Huckabee won the Iowa GOP caucus when he ran for president in 2008.
Wisconsin's Paul Ryan is second with 12 percent, while Paul is in third with 7 percent.
It marks a big change from CNN's previous poll in Iowa. In March, Paul was the frontrunner with 16 percent.
