Melissa Harris Perry running the Braley attack ad and Joni Ernst make them squeal ad and she loves them both. MHP should ask the chickens if they would rather have Joni Ernst and her stupid gun as their neighbor solving problems Joni's way? How can all the national media tv and radio ignore Joni Ernst being a straight up Glen Beck Alex Jones Tea Party Loon???? I will never understand how this race is even close.

1. You don't want your candidates to be tone-deaf.

A lawyer, threatening to sue over something trivial is not going to go over well with any constituency.

Yes, JE is no doubt another tea party nut who will be lousy in Congress. But does she actually shoot her neighbour's chickens if they wander onto her yard?

Campaigning is a far different thing from governing, and you need candidates who can campaign effectively before they ever get a chance to govern.
