Take that joy away from that by resolving that all media outlets will not show it. It strips them of some of the victory they find in the hideous act. It also is a show of respect for the families who will know that there is not a constant 24/7 loop of the death of their loved one.

(25,183 posts)the actual beheading part of the videos is difficult to find. Are you advocating that we simply have a news blackout when a beheading video is released, or just that a redacted version is played, maybe only a screenshot of an orange-clad Westerner on his knees, with a shadowy figure standing the the same frame?
Because if it's the latter, we pretty much have only that in Western media. The jihadis will always find ways to make sure potential recruits see the whole thing.
