Trayvon Martin's mother just said she believes it was an 'accident,

things got out of control, he couldn't turn the clock back.'
(Heard on NPR news.)

EDIT: Trayvon's Mom issued a statement basically saying that she misspoke, that the family believes Zimmerman killed her son in cold blood, and that the "accident" was the fact that their paths crossed.

if it was Trayvon, he was terrified of something, likely a gun pointed at him.

She meant that the accident was that Trayvon and Zimmerman met. She doesn't think the shooting was an accident, and neither do I.

I think he was hunting for a victim. In his mind he may have been hunting for bad guys. But, I am not inclined to even give him that benefit of the doubt in light of the number of most likely false 911 calls he had made in the last year. I think his racism is going to be exposed in a big way. Wouldn't be surprised if he has it on display on face book or another social media that we don't know about yet.

CBS NEWS) - Trayvon Martin's mother Sybrina Fulton is clarifying remarks she made Thursday morning that the shooting of her son by George Zimmerman was an accident.
Fulton was interviewed on NBC's "Today" show the morning after George Zimmerman was charged with second-degree murder in the death of her son.

When asked what she would say if she could talk to Zimmerman face to face, Fulton said a person should apologize if they are remorseful. She then said she believed the shooting was an accident and things got out of control.

Later Thursday, in an interview with the Associated Press, Fulton said she referring to the chance nature of the encounter between Zimmerman and her son.

"Their meeting was the accident," Fulton said. "That was the accident. Not the actual act of him shooting him. That was murder ... They were never supposed to meet."
