(3,252 posts)I see this thread sank like a stone on the board. Unfortunately, we are getting used to mass shootings.
On the good side, millions of us have our guns, including automatic guns. Yeehaw!!! (Bang Bang)/sarc

(8,554 posts)Just imagine that trauma.
My thoughts go to those survivors.
My anger is directed at whoever provided this brute with a gun. He was a convicted felon, previously found guilty of illegal possession of a firearm.

(8,554 posts)And I would hope that Florida investigates where Don Spirit obtained the gun he used. Accountability.
Requiring a background check on any sale or transfer of a firearm might have kept this person, a man already found guilty of illegal possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, from acquiring the weapon he used to destroy his family.

(64,407 posts)I expect that law enforcement will do just that. And if Mr. Spirit obtained a firearm unlawfully, that law enforcement will sort out how to keep that from happening again. If he obtained it via a loophole that allowed this to happen, I hope to see that loophole closed asap.
