Alan Robertson: Satan Attacked 'Duck Dynasty' Clan Because We're So Great

“Duck Dynasty” family member Alan Robertson spoke to the Values Voter Summit last night about criticism of his father Phil Robertson’s racist and anti-gay statements. Robertson said his father was a victim of a plot by “the Evil One,” who wants to “derail [his] message” about “a return to godliness,” which apparently includes waxing nostalgic about Jim Crow and smearing gays and lesbians. “We’re talking about undergoing that change and trying to help other people see that because now you realize we’ve got generations of people in our nation that really don’t understand godliness at any level, they don’t know,” he said. Later in his remarks, Robertson prayed that the heathens outside of the Values Voter Summit will one day become just as wise and godly as the Robertson clan: “I pray for even our American brothers and sisters who aren’t there yet, I pray for them, because I want our nation to rise up and be great again.”
