Unfortunately those tractors can get hung up and then flip backward, crushing the person riding them.

Farming isn't a very safe profession, and this was a vintage tractor, which means it didn't have some of the safeguards to prevent flipping backwards that newer ones do.

in accidents of this nature....good men who loved being farmers.

10. My uncle was killed by an old tractor, the tractor had a crank that hit him

in the head. I never knew him because this happened before I was born. I've heard he was a really great guy, I've always been sorry I never had the chance to know him.
