(28,394 posts)I would leave my cart and walk out and shop somewhere else.

(3,724 posts)I would report that there was a man walking through the store carrying a gun. I would tell them that I was in fear for my life.

(7,745 posts)If not, why would you lie to the police?
Sheldon Cooper
(3,724 posts)by some nut job bent on shooting up a school, movie theater, and yes, even a Kroger. It's not like that's never happened before. So yes, I would absolutely be in fear for my life, and nope - no lying to police. Take your gun and hump it someplace else.

(41,694 posts)There is no reason or need to do that unless you are an asshole.

(111,286 posts)Do they have tats on their foreheads that only become visible to other gun toters?
Face it, you to NOT need to shoulder a Big Ugly Gun to go buy corn plasters.
The rest of us will leave. The store will lose business. And you'll be back to square 1, unable to prance around with a Big Ugly Gun in public to make yourself feel safe because it makes the rest of us feel unsafe, with good reason.

(28,266 posts)The burden is on the open carrier to prove differently, as far as I'm concerned. The laws authorizing that sort of armed public intimidation need to be done away with. If training-based and licensed concealed carry for legitimate personal protection isn't enough to satisfy you, there's something fundamentally wrong with you and you shouldn't be around firearms at all.

(14,449 posts)I never in my life say anybody carry something like that except in the military (job only) and the airport in China. Otherwise I never saw such a thing in public. It just seems fake to me.

(14,449 posts)Prove it by coming to Maryland where I live and show me one person doing this. Don't call me naive when my post is 100 percent accurate.

(22,336 posts)someone would have to travel to Maryland, get you, and wander around with you from store to store until you see someone with a gun at one of them? Just want to make sure I have your requirements right.
There have been plenty of photos of plenty of people with guns at plenty of stores. You think they're all photoshopped?

(111,286 posts)I haven't yet seen assholes like that here in NM and this state is bristling with guns because it's still mostly wild.

(13,986 posts)There is also what I call the "60's combover": dudes who pull their remaining manes back in a ponytail in a vain attempt to hide their bald spots.
News flash, fellow Freaks: it didn't work for the older generations, and it doesn't work for ours, either.

(13,986 posts)The combovers are designed to pretend one isn't getting all fleshy up there on top. Cats who just like a ponytail aren't doing a Donald Trump, they just like their remaining hair to be long. I'd do that if it were practical.
Growing it out doesn't work well with seriously curly hair: a 'fro looks really weird when your hairline is halfway back towards one's occiput. Like having a cliff sculpture on top of my head.
Fuck it, I keep it short these days. My freak flag flies in other ways.
OriginalGeek
(12,132 posts)my wife's is curly - we each, at different times, have envied the other.
But this is what I got and I'm gonna run what I brung.
The Donald is just weird. Even if you took away all his jackassery publicity hound bullshit, he's just weird with that comb-over.

(24,371 posts)moved his cart out of the way and KICKED THE LIVING SHIT OUT OF HIS BALLS, then quietly walked away, saying "Your dopey penis extender didn't help you much there, did it?"
Either that or just say "That's for wearing that stupid looking Fedora and that shirt while carrying that gun that clashes with your shoes, asshole"
