(Climate Net Daily) Former Vice President Al Gore hopes a new strategy will communicate the dangers of human-made climate change. Despite years of passionate campaigning, Gore has been frustrated by entrenched skeptics, whom he accuses of ignoring the data for reasons of politics and economics.Recent advances have permitted climatologists to build ever more accurate computer models to predict likely trends in global climate in the coming decades. Critics dismiss such models as too complex to be readily understood.
In response, Gore worked with legendary choreographer Yuri Banacek to create a dance routine that communicates the intricacies of the computer model. The Vice President himself performed the dance, and motion-capture technology created a digital, computerized Gore that can be used in multimedia presentations to express what mere words can not.
Nevertheless, his critics remain steadfast.
Despite the elegance of the music and the grace of Gore's movements, his opponents still refuse to accept the computational methods that Gore hopes to convey with his virtual interpretive dance, claiming that his methodology remains invalid.
In other words, they still reject his computer Al Gore rhythms.

(7,820 posts)Are quite frankly not reachable. They are just not open to being convinced. Not by science or facts, anyhow. They're way too invested in their denial. I know that sounds very fatalistic, but we may just have to write some of these idiots off and figure out how to go around them.
