100 years ago today my daughters' great grand aunt, Bridget Donahue, lost her life on the Titanic.

Bridget, wherever you are, your brave younger sisters made it over to America, led good, happy lives, and gave you beautiful grand nieces and a nephew who honor you today!

I love this term, "Grand Aunt". My family would call it "Great Aunt" but I think you are correct. LaydeeBug Apr 2012 #7

I just found a 8inch brass bell in Gram's closet that says "Titanic 1912." She says she got it at a garage sale 20 years ago.
We put it out to display in honor of all those lost that day.

I find this much better than a 3-D movie.

In memory, those who came before us, had their stories.. Some more significant than others. Grant Aunt Bridget Donahue and all the rest live on and are best remembered that way.
