One in three jobs will be taken by software or robots by 2025

http://www.computerworld.com/article/2691607/one-in-three-jobs-will-be-taken-by-software-or-robots-by-2025.html

The article kind of sucks but I get the message and agree. Automation, robots, drones, software, etc are going to eliminate many more jobs in the next decade. Learning how to program and maintain such things could be a good field to get into.

We are already seeing it, hotels and airlines with the self check-in lines, self check-out at the grocery store. I'm expecting to see customer kiosks and automated ordering at fast food restaurants any day, or just use an app on your smart phone.

Service sector employment will be ravaged and that is were we have seen the recent growth. What will people do when there are only 2/3 the jobs for humans 10 years from now that we see and realize today?

Fast food restaurants especially. Many are starting to use IPads for customers to order. Front lines will be obsolete soon with credit card and automated ordering. I don't know how soon robots will make the food though.

Mainly RF and RADAR, another 10 or so years until the new robot overlords take over and I'll be OK!

I traveled this summer and the airlines want you to check-in online and use a kiosk at the airport.

A lot of people affected by their work should go and protest in Silicon Valley.

We have known this was coming for many years. In the past they said it would lead to a paradise where we would all work less as we shared the benefits of productivity and technology.
Problem is, as we advance the rich just want to keep all of societies' benefits.

The answer is not to keep people doing unnecessary work. The answer is to pay people for the things that still need to be done.

By the time ebola finishes with the working classes, there should be just enough of us left to maintain the machines that serve the Masters.
