Wilkinsburg extends free meals to suppertime

Twelve-year-old Aacia Sayyed, far right, leads a line of students getting food in the Wilkinsburg Junior/Senior High School's after school meal program. The school offers a third meal for students every day until 5 p.m.

Diop Jones, 7, takes a tray as he gets ready to eat dinner at Wilkinsburg Junior/Senior High School.

“This district, the kids, they need something, just a morale-booster, something the kids can look forward to that’s just for them,” Mr. Bennett said. “They just love to come through and get the meals and socialize. It’s been great for them.”
