VIDEO: John Oliver's Brilliant, Hilarious Solution to the No Cameras in the Supreme Court Rule

Oral arguments have never been so compelling!

You know those absurdly popular cat videos? Well, if you don't, trust us, they are absurdly popular.

HBO's John Oliver thinks they might hold the key to making Supreme Court oral arguments "must-watch TV."

In a segment last night to close his show, Oliver unveiled his hilarious proposal to cast dogs as the Supreme Court justices, give them fake paws, a few props, and insert oral arguments into their mouths. It's guaranteed to make supreme court discussions go viral, and get the body politic to be fully informed about some of the ridiculous questions that, for example, Justice Antonin Scalia, asks. (Scalia is played as a bull dog, of course.)

Underneath all the humor is a pretty clever civics lesson about making government more transparent.

John Oliver has an excellent show.

The roles have been reversed.

For 'comedy' and misinformation watch the mainstream news.

If you want to laugh out loud while being bombarded by the facts watch John Oliver, Jon Stewart, Stephen Colbert, and Bill Maher.
