Michelle Bachmann gets round-the-clock bodyguards because of Islamic State

Rep. Michelle Bachmann (R-MN) is getting her own security detail to protect her against Islamic State militants.

The lawmaker’s office referred reporters to Capitol Police, Politico reported, but law enforcement officials declined to specify details of the threat.

These police details usually protect members of Congress 24 hours a day whether they are in Washington or in their home districts.

Fox News reported that a “limited” police detail will follow Bachmann after her likeness appeared in a video produced by the Islamic State*.
