He draws for my local rag. He has a teaparty-hate following that would impress anyone. He could draw a beautiful sunset and they would attack it as a partisan slap. I'd love to see the comments following this toon ... but the rag went to a 10 free view scheme and I refuse to pay.
I've noticed a drop off in comments since the Daily Star did away with the ability to post anonymously (imagine that!).
But Fitz had one stalker that you could count on being the first comment. It was always hateful and full of teaparty/c0onservative rhetoric. It turned out the guy was unemployed and living on government assistance since the U/C extension, that he so much wanted to end for everyone else, ended.
While I, typically, try to avoid being intentionally mean ... whenever he and I got into it (which was frequently), I'd always ask him how his job search was coming along ... "I hear McDonald's is hiring!" (One of his lines to anyone "disincentivized from working by U/C) Or, ask him how he had the nerve to have on-line service, since he was receiving MY tax dollar to eat." (One of his rants about poor people having cell phones or A/C).
It would really piss him off ... One day, he responded that he didn't have online service, he was posting from the library ... like that was going to shut me down. I simply replied, "Great! I'm paying for that, too! Get out of my pocket, mannn!"
His next post was deleted, as a violation of the profanity policy ... and I never saw him again.
