The Virgin Galactic Crash Investigation

A National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) team arrived in Mojave on Saturday and began its investigation, which is expected to take weeks.

Virgin chief Sir Richard Branson said he was "determined to find out what went wrong" and learn from the tragedy.

So does this mean Sir Richard will cover the bill for this or do we taxpayers pay for his private accident?

The NTSB investigate all accidents, not just planes owned by the tax payers. In fact the majority of accidents are from airliners that obviously belong to commercial companies. I do not see why this case is any different.
