two more straight d ballots are ready to be cast in colorado

the ballots have been sitting on the coffee table for more than week and i was looking for something exciting to do, so we filled them out tonight.

i have always respected the husband's right to a secret ballot (i know he doesn't vote r), but this year i asked him to vote straight d because it is tight and we need every vote we can get. it's also the third time in the last four elections i've voted against a personhood bill. i'm getting awfully sick of this shit.

i was raised to vote and i love doing so. i'm not ready to roll over and play dead, so let's gotv, people!

Researched the judge retentions as much as I could to vote for them. Just need to pack up our ballots in the secrecy sleeve and drop them off.

Hoping to not have Bobby Beauprez or that disgusting Cory Gardner elected come Weds morning

The early voting hours to close daily at 5 p.m. Instead of 7 p.m. They want to keep working people from voting, but it is not working. People are finding a way and doing it. I have no illusions that we will win the statewide offices, but we may win some local ones. Good luck to you all!

Good luck to you too. If nothing else, Wendy has proven she can draw a crowd and there are still Democrats in Texas.

My nephew (Seminole, TX) an extremist by any definition, posted this on his FB page.

"Democrats want an economy that works for everyone. I want an economy where everyone works." It's the same thing, I told him. In an economy that works for everyone, everyone works. Don't think he cares much about what I say because I'm not a Christian, having voted for Obama and all that.

turnout than would we normally have. Obama drew many of these Democrats out as well which helped to some extent here in East Texas. Sadly, Wendy can not save herself I am afraid. She got little national support and Abbott has a huge war chest that has 20/1 advantage in ads on TV.
95% of political ads in Texas are Republican. The Republicans know that if they lose Texas they will cease to be a national Party. National Democrats only focus on battle ground states and lose generations of potential voters here who grow up hearing ONLY Republican views. It's no wonder we get Louie Gomerts elected. Howard Dean recognized this problem, but corporate Democrats run the Party now. Now it's about keeping things close so the Plutocrats can maximize their control over us. They keep us angry and afraid and blaming the minorities, disabled, elderly and the poor for all of our problems. For Democrats, they threaten us with terrible RW Republicans so we will hold our nose and vote in a high profile corporate Democrat. Obama is the example now, both Bill Clinton and Hillary are from this same mold. They throw us some bones and quietly do Wall Street's bidding, as well as the MIC, Insurance industry, Big Pharma...

I will hold my nose and vote Democrat since I only have two real choices, but I support Bernie Sanders because he is the only national politican supporting the solution to our root problem, money in politics. If we can fight and win getting rid of campaign contributions, Super PACs, and have Publicly Funded Elections, we can stop these Plutocrats from controlling our government. Then maybe we can bust up the banking and media oligopolies. Long shots for sure because even though many here at DU agree with me, few are willing to do anything about it. Most fall for the very real threat that a Republican will get the White House if we don't support the corporate Democrat. They are against Bernie because he will split the vote and cause us to lose. I am fed up enough that I will support Bernie to the end, whether it be democratic primaries, or he runs as an Independant.

Your nephew is a good example of someone living in an area where they only hear only the RW message. Good luck with that!

It does honestly feel like another country. I lived in Houston from 1977 to 1984, and it wasn't this nuts, even after Reagan was elected.
I support Bernie too, and also fed up enough to vote for him as an independent party candidate.
