Person in Grim Reaper costume stabs woman in her own bathroom

Officials in Vista, California are investigating a bizarre stabbing attack by someone dressed as a “grim reaper” inside a local gated community, KNSD-TV reported on Friday.

Local sheriff’s deputies said the suspect attacked a woman inside her bathroom just before 2 a.m. on Friday, stabbing her several times before leaving her home. An overnight search of the surrounding area came up empty.

The victim reportedly told authorities that she could not identify the suspect, but that she did have “a woman’s voice.” Investigators have not determined how the suspect got into the woman’s home.

U-T San Diego reported that the victim suffered injuries to her upper body and back. She was treated at a local hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
