(20,818 posts)up, too. I have a young cousin who's going through a divorce and she has no concept of privacy or the legalities of posting divorce details on FB. She tells blatant lies about her ex on FB, tells all about her dating while not yet divorced and her leaving their young child with the men she's dating, and her divorce strategies. Then she gets pissed that her x "seems to know everything she's doing" and yells publicly on FB at friends she thinks ate "going behind her back and telling him things."
I and others have told her to be very careful what she posts on social media, as it can be legally used against her in the divorce, but she won't listen and keeps doing it and keeps complaining that he seems to know everything. We're just the old fuddy-duddies trying to keep her from having fun. Sigh.

(182,803 posts)Wow. I do have to say that when I first started on Facebook at least 3 or 4 marriages of "friends" ended rather abruptly. I know of three couples that went to high school together, had little to do with each other, and are now together or married. Not sure if it was directly related to Facebook but I am pretty sure that one was.
