A sincere salute to all of you out there canvassing for our candidates.
It's 36 degrees outside. It's spitting snow. The wind's gusting up to 31 mph. And a nice gentleman just rang our bell hoping to confirm that we were voting and that we were voting Democratic. I was pleased to be able to tell him that my absentee ballot went into the mail on Thursday---straight Dem ticket. I promised him I'd work on my wife and daughter.
I wish I had a thick enough skin to be able to get involved but, my hat's off to those of you who are doing the hard work on the ground. Seeing that man out there despite the weather and despite all the endless doom and gloom goes a long way to redeeming my faith in humanity. Peace.
