At least on the statewide level. The only drama in San Francisco is a very hot D vs. D race for State Assembly. Good luck to everyone else out there.

(10,136 posts)Have seen or heard zilch from What's His Name, the Republican candidate, here on the Peninsula. But then the really big race down here (judging by the signs and flyers) is the city council one, with school board and water district vying for a close second.

Obscene amounts of money are being spent in a very, very close race. Karl Rove's American Crossroads, the Koch brother's Americans for Prosperity, and the NRCC are spending money like drunken sailors.

(36,434 posts)I'm in a district west of you and I've had to endure all the mud slinging television ads attacking Bera. To their credit, DCCC stepped up and countered every lie and distorted fact by throwing a little mud right back at Ose.

(36,434 posts)He represented the old 3rd district that included Sacramento (outside the city), and parts of Solano and Yolo counties. He was my congress critter for two years. Truth be told, I haven't been able to keep up with all the redistricting geography over the years.
