NBC-WSJ National Poll: GOP/Democrats Deadlocked

http://www.nbcnews.com/politics/first-read/nbc-wsj-national-poll-gop-dems-deadlocked-heading-election-day-n239366

-snip-
Republicans and Democrats are deadlocked heading into Election Day, with 46 percent of likely voters preferring a Republican-controlled Congress, and 45 percent wanting a Democratic-controlled one, according to the final national NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll before the election.

To put these numbers into perspective, Republicans held a six-point lead among nationwide likely voters (49 to 43 percent) right before the 2010 midterms, when the GOP picked up 63 House seats and six Senate seats.

I think it is ridiculous that so called "news" is acting rather like cheerleaders for the repubs.

Oh, and the "why bother" portion was sarcasm of course. As long as we get out and vote, we'll be ok.

Dems have a 4 point lead among registed voters so dems could win If there is good turnout.

Intresting the best age group Is those 50 to 64 for democrats. Those younger and older tend to favor republicans.

Blacks and hispanics favor the Democrats.

For what it's worth.

Mitch has not generated a whole lot of enthusiasm so we must wonder how much of this turnout he will get??

Also, we should note that Alison did not have an opponent in the May primary, yet she received more votes than McConnell and his Tea Party opponent combined.

Considering that Repubs usually vote in numbers relative to the enthusiasm of their opponent, we should think that this is going to be a much closer race than it should be.

Since there is a tendency to over poll Republicans, the popular preference for the house is tied.

Four years ago, the Repubs had a 10% advantage (average) going into election day (and won the popular vote by 5.8%).

Beyond the electioneering and politicking there is something wrong with society at large. Almost like a psychotic break. An inability to connect as citizens with common needs. An inabilty to empathize or to see the other as self. How do you mend this?
